We work with schools and colleges to deliver and promote best practice for the young people we support after full time education.
We know from experience it’s important to;
- Provide families with advice and information about the transition process
- Signpost families to high quality and relevant future pathways
- Ensure young people are supported to keep healthy and stay safe into adulthood
- Help young people stay motivated and continue to learn relevant skills after leaving school or college
- Work in partnership with other agencies who can provide support.
We ensure future support for young people leaving school and college meets their needs by working together to ensure that the transition process is supportive and collaborative right from the beginning.
We can also provide information and support to:
- Deliver training for autism spectrum conditions
- Deliver training for person centred transition reviews
- Plan development opportunities for employment, housing and individualised support
- Attend young people’s transition reviews
- Attend open evenings and other events
Ambitious About Autism and Dimensions are pleased to announce they will be working together to develop services for young people aged 19 to 25 years in North London, which will offer a package of support to meet their needs including education, training and enterprise and housing. Read the joint statement for more information.
